Overview

This teaser for "Los Billis" for Prime Video was produced by Ufilms Latam. Directing it was an exercise in style and visual storytelling inspired by the vibrant aesthetics of the 1980s. Rather than a conventional reconstruction, we designed a universe where original arcade machines and neon lighting created an immersive mood, drawing the audience into this nostalgic and dynamic world. The entire production took place in a studio, a controlled environment that allowed us to enhance the art direction and reinforce the series' visual identity.

Challenges & Approach

The challenge was to make the 80s aesthetic feel authentic without over-stylizing it. The art direction integrated iconic visual elements of the era, while the cinematography, with camera movements inspired by films and video games of the time, added dynamism and energy. The combination of these elements created a teaser with its own identity, tapping into nostalgia while keeping it fresh.
